So this was by far the most fun I have ever had on a shoot to date! (Though I’m guessing their wedding will likely surpass it with flying colors). Joann is someone I work with in my normal Monday through Friday job, yes, I have one of those. I had met her fiance a while back and instantly saw why she adored him so much. So I was thrilled when she asked me to do an engagement shoot for them. I was even more thrilled when they agreed to get up at the crack of dawn just to make a sunrise shoot happen (not a whole lot of clients are willing to make it happen, despite the big pay off) It just so happened that morning was the coldest day we had all year at a very chilly 40 degrees. Now, they are both from up north so they fared fine, me on the other hand….well I looked like I was going backpacking in Alaska. After watching the sun come up and enjoying the beautiful south Florida beach, we took just a short ride to Burch State Park where Joann and Ricky spend a lot of their free time and took some photos there. And then we headed over to the beautiful Bonnet House to walk the gardens. There were swans and monkeys just to round out an already incredible day. And as the day went on, and the weather warmed up, it turned out to be really gorgeous out. Oh, but the day didn’t stop there. They headed to one of their neighborhood spots with friends where they spend game days and the madness began. There were drinks and a pair of giraffe sunglasses…. this couple is just FUN! Aside from being extremely photogenic and up for just about anything, Ricky was the best sport I’ve ever seen for a shoot. (Side note this is the biggest post I’ve done because I loved all of their photos and just throwing it out there: I LOVE her ring! So unique and so beautiful!) So the photos below are just a small glimpse of this amazing couple and one beautiful day start to finish. I cannot wait to capture their wedding in just a few weeks!
